Mantra Series: 3 Hours, the door is not the door anymore

Story

I was inspired to make these drawings from my “Mantra: 3 Hours- The Door is Not the Door Anymore" series after listening to an interview of Yugoslavian Performance artist Marina Abramovic by Jarvis Cocker on the BBC. She spoke of the power of the brain on steady oxygen after the repetition of the mantra. I saw my mark making as a sort of mantra. I still do.
